Me A Babysitter!

Many years ago, I had the opportunity to do my one and only baby-sitting
job. I was working as a Christian Science Nurse. A young couple was
looking for a baby sitter. They ask all the women whom I worked with and
they all seemed busy. One of them said David why don't you baby sit.
You change adult diapers so you should be able to change a child's
diaper. I reluctantly accepted.

I was told that if the baby cries it is either he is hungry or his diaper
is wet. That seemed simple enough. I fed the child and changed him.
However in a short time, the child began to cry. I had no phone number
to call for help.

I did have help with this child. I could pray to God. I asked God how
could I meet this child's need? Why does he continue to cry? All of a
sudden I realized it was because the baby was missing his parents.

In reality he could not miss His parents because he could never be
separated from his Father Mother God, who was his true parent. Right
here in this room, his Father Mother is with him. This tender
relationship with His child is going on right now and continues to go on.
The child has nothing to fear. He is being care for, watch over and
protected. God's love is cradling him in his arms. He can feel this love
with him right this very minute.

Within a few minutes the baby fell asleep and slept until the parents
arrived a few hours later.
